While working as a systems engineer for IBM, Deb Pierson recognized a growing need for responsive, customer-focused and diverse business enterprises in the Central Pennsylvania region.
That entrepreneurial spirit led to the founding of Pierson Consulting Company, Inc. (PCCi) in 1993. The firm initially specialized in project management of physical infrastructure installations, technical writing for proposals, and proposal management for large enterprise customers selling to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Our first client was IBM, and from our early successes we evolved into a strong company with expanded capabilities while still keeping a focus on the customer, responsiveness to client needs, and creativity in solving client issues. To reflect a changing industry and growing capabilities, we became Pierson Computing Connection, Inc. in 2008. Name changes aside, our customers feel comfortable calling us “Pierson.”
Technology for “Good”
Our greatest pride remains being able to consistently exceed client expectations. We’re also proud of the fact that our work can help make a difference: providing interactive classroom technology, like SMART Boards, laptops or tablets for underprivileged students; project management for a state agency integration that saves both client time and taxpayer money; or installing cloud-based infrastructure that allows a company to become more efficient, streamline efficiency and reduce e-waste.
If your organization is committed to supplier diversity, Pierson is certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation’s largest third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the U.S., as well as many states.
Today, despite an ever-evolving technology landscape, the focus on the customer and personal service remains the hallmark of Pierson — what we like to call “Pierson to Person” — providing our clients with a strong partner, a sense of continuity and connection, and the ability to make the complex process simple.
